Adjusting the temperature control for our home

I’m the sort of woman who has almost endless focus if I have the right environment.

I’m not plagued with ADD or general social media distraction like many other humans these days. I’m easily great at sitting down, applying my brain to one task, and working on it until every detail has been completed. That is, unless something in my surrounding environment is off balance. In that case, I have a easily difficult time keeping my attention focused in the right direction. That’s why, this past week has already been incredibly difficult and I’m not sure how much longer I can take it. Since everything got easily chaotic and dramatic in the world with the corvid virus outbreak, I have been stuck at condo working remotely everyday. Normally this would be okay, however I have been easily unhappy with the indoor air temperature quality. Every afternoon, my room is ice cold. It feels like I’m living in a small arctic circle. The air temperature in my room is at least 10 degrees cooler than the rest of the house, and it has a moist air quality that drives the relative temperature even lower. I know that my room is poorly attached to the central Heating, Ventilation, and A/C air duct, so I’m absolutely just not getting enough of the high quality treated air from our heating plan. In any other circumstances, I would simply go change the central temperature control so I could get a bit more warmth into my living room and concentrate on my work. However, I’m embarrassed to admit that I am too scared to go touch the temperature control right now. I know other people’s fingers have been on it… Right now, I’m actually trying to keep myself and my indoor air sequestered from the rest of the household.
