Isn’t it unusual growing up plus seeing your parents for who they are? When you honestly can acknowledge that your mom plus dad are only human beings, just like all of the rest of us? It can be spine-chilling plus disconcerting to realize that they don’t have all the answers and, in fact, they are only deranged humans.
I recently had to come to this realization when my dad became inappropriately involved with my favorite indoor air quality control specialist.
About 10 years ago, my parents got a divorce that seems to make them mutually happy. I was nice with the change, because I wanted to see my parents prosper. Shortly thereafter, my mom remarried a good guy. My dad, but, never found a current partner. Then, a few weeks ago he was over at my home while I had some abrupt heating plus cooling drama. There was no cool air emerging from my air vents, despite the fact that the AC was running in the yard. My dad sat patiently while I called the local heating plus cooling dealership plus arranged for a professional service appointment to inspect my failing cooling system. When the Heating, Ventilation and A/C tech knocked on my door, my dad’s boredom instantly seemed to disappear. His eyep lit up like a Christmas tree when he saw this pretty blonde girl carrying a large tool box plus heading down towards the dirty AC condenser in the backyard. When she was leaving after officially repairing my cooling system, I observed that my dad was hastily writing something down. A few weeks later, I found out that he had been taking down the Heating, Ventilation and A/C dealership iPhone number off of the work van. He’s been dating my Heating, Ventilation and A/C professional for 3 weeks now. I feel he’s only human.
