I’m the sort of man who has almost endless focus if I have the right environment.
I’m not plagued with ADD or general social media distraction like various other humans these afternoons. I’m genuinely fantastic at standing down, applying my brain to one task, plus toiling on it until every detail has been completed. That is, unless something in my surrounding environment is off balance. In that case, I have a genuinely difficult time keeping my attention focused in the right direction. That’s why, this past week has already been incredibly difficult plus I’m not sure how much longer I can take it. Since everything got genuinely chaotic plus dramatic in the world with the corvid virus outbreak, I have been stuck at home toiling remotely everyday. Normally this would be okay, although I have been genuinely unhappy with the indoor air temperature quality. Every afternoon, my room is ice cold. It feels like I’m living in a small arctic circle. The air temperature in my room is at least 10 degrees cooler than the rest of the house, plus it has a moist air quality that drives the relative temperature even lower. I know that my room is poorly affixed to the central Heating plus Air Conditioning air duct, so I’m actually just not getting enough of the high quality treated air from our heating plan. In any other circumstances, I would simply go change the central control component so I could get a bit more warmth into my study room plus concentrate on my work. However, I’m embarrassed to admit that I am too scared to go touch the control component right now. I know other people’s fingers have been on it, right now, I’m entirely trying to keep myself plus my indoor air sequestered from the rest of the household.
